Planning in the Moment is a teaching strategy used with the Nursery and Reception students that is based on the greatest early childhood education practices. Little ones are truly like sponges, and they are always learning. The skilled and innovative Early Years instructors use planning in the moment to adapt the day's lessons to the interests the kids may bring to class. Activities on light and dark, heat and cold, shadows, color, and noises are likely to be included the day after bonfire night. To top it all off, there will undoubtedly be a campfire at the forest school. It's the kind of instruction that fuels kids' curiosity and keeps their imaginations alive. It offers a powerful learning environment where students and teachers collaborate to develop original ideas, make things together, and learn together. It teaches kids that school is a lot of fun and that their thoughts and interests matter. It also teaches them that their voices, no matter how small, will be heard.

Math, phonics, and English will be filtered through quick games and activities by the Reception instructors. These comments are firmly child-led, with teachers paying attention to the children's cues, such as when they are ready, when they are interested, or when they are beginning to feel a little overwhelmed. This helps the kids stay motivated to learn more while also teaching them essential skills for learning. It teaches kids that school is a lot of fun and that their thoughts and interests matter. It also teaches them that their voices, no matter how small, will be heard.

Frensham Heights School values both academic and artistic pursuits equally. In the earlier years, in particular, the goal was to provide a highly broad curriculum that would enable each child to discover their own talents and interests. The year group teams primarily work in the classroom to complete the core academic curriculum in math, english, science, and topic. Teachers get to know the students well and truly comprehend what makes each one tick because of the small class sizes and informal relationships. To ensure that every child receives the help or challenges they require, they can differentiate the work across all subject areas. In order to ensure that all students are achieving progress during core lessons, Frensham Heights School is supported by a group of Teaching and Learning Assistants who collaborate with the class instructors. Frensham Heights School considers the children in front of us each year and offers the appropriate support to fulfill their needs, both as a group and as individuals. Every year's group is unique. Year 7: The majority of students complete fourteen required subjects, and they subsequently select two of three modern foreign languages. With the exception of PE, Languages, and Math, students stay in their tutor groups.

Year 8: The majority of students study sixteen subjects in total (all of which are required), and they continue to be placed in tutor groups for all subjects other than PE, Languages, English, and Math. Year 8 students participate in one PSHE class every week.

Academically, emotionally, and socially, students' formative years span from grades 9 through 11. Frensham Heights Schooladheres to the GCSE curriculum and assessment procedures, like the majority of mainstream institutions. This does imply that instruction during these years is heavily curriculum-driven, but Frensham Heights School makes every effort to consistently promote students' individual interests and passions. Instead than concentrating just on exam results, the goal is to provide students with the information and critical-thinking abilities — creativity, problem-solving, adaptability, and resilience — to handle any situation that may arise during exams as well as in everyday life.

The majority of pupils complete 10 GCSEs or other equivalent exams. English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, and Science: Separate Science (leading to three GCSEs) or Trilogy (three strands leading to two GCSEs) are required subjects. All students are required to select at least one creative or performing arts course, and it is advised that they select one humanities and one modern language subject to build a wide curriculum.

Science and the arts coexist in the sixth form, as do linguists and actors and dancers and sports psychologists. What kind of higher education preparation could be better? In addition to preparing students for life after high school, Frensham Heights School aspires to provide them with a broad academic, creative, and cultural education. Students depart Frensham Heights School to begin a wide variety of university courses, including astrophysics, neurology, music, and fashion management. Some students have attended Frensham Heights School for the majority or all of their time in school, while others joined in the Sixth Form, but they all share the community's warm self-confidence and deep respect for others.

With over 25 disciplines to choose from, Frensham Heights School takes pride in being able to offer every student the ideal subject combination they're looking for, allowing them to design their own individual curriculum.

The recommendation is to choose subjects that excite kids and that they truly connect with. The A-Level options method is tailored to each student, so they are not forced to select courses from predetermined option blocks but rather can design their own special curriculum. Although most students opt to study three A-Levels, some also choose to study Mathematical Studies or an EPQ.

That year, charity efforts benefited the All Saints School and the adjoining AMAO Orphanage in Mtunthama, Malawi.

Since then, this cooperation has persisted, and both the students and the people of Malawi benefit from it. Every other year, faculty and students plan and finance excursions to Malawi. This allows the students and faculty the chance to learn about how diverse and challenging life can be for young people in Africa, as well as how they can actually make a difference in the lives of others. Young individuals will develop into adults who believe they can have a beneficial impact on the world if they have that belief.

In order to carry on with this work, Malawi Schools Trust was established in 2019. Their main goal is for Malawi's children to all receive an education. They will carefully collaborate with neighborhood communities on projects that enable this in order to achieve this goal. Each school separately.
