Programs in CATS Cambridge

A student can start to specialize and start to make serious decisions about where their study will take them in years 10 and 11. For this level of study, CATS Cambridge offers a number of qualifications:

Students can progress to A level or UFP through the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE), which gives a high-quality secondary education foundation. Subject experts who have received training in how to teach students who speak English as a second language teach the classes.

The certification promotes students' pursuit of their academic potential and identification of their areas of interest. The qualification, which is recognized globally, typically requires two years of study.

As requirements for a GCSE, students must take English, Math, and Science. The following three subjects are required of students: Block A (French, History, Photography), Block B (Geography, Visual Arts), and Block C (Visual Arts) (Business).

With the help of these programs, you can learn about a variety of topics that will provide you a solid foundation before you move on to more in-depth coursework. In the UK, GCSEs are the common pathway to further education and, eventually, to university. The program is acknowledged by all prestigious universities and is even extensively acknowledged internationally by some of the best schools worldwide.

All kids 14 and older are best suited for GCSEs, while in rare cases, students as young as 13 may also be taken into consideration. The program gives you the best preparation for your continued study while allowing you to study a variety of disciplines.

Pre-A level, which has a one-year minimum term and is designed as an introduction to the UK Further Education system, uses a similar methodology to GCSE. Although this program is also ideal for children desiring to progress to study UFP if they are of the appropriate age, pupils experience a wide range of courses that prepare them to progress to study A level. Before continuing on to more advanced study, Pre-A level gives pupils the chance to enhance their English, and they should anticipate taking external tests in both English and Math. Pre-A level starting points are available at CATS Cambridge in both September and January.

You will graduate from this program with the fundamental know-how and abilities required to begin a university preparation program. Business, English, French, Geography, Humanities, History, Math, Photography, Science, and Visual Arts are just a few of the topics that are required of all students.

For all students starting at age 15, Pre-A level is excellent; in some cases, kids starting at age 14 are taken into consideration. The program gives you the best preparation for your continued study while allowing you to study a variety of disciplines. Students must be at least 15 years old to participate in the pre-programme.

Years 12 and 13, usually referred to as the Sixth Form, are the years where a student can make decisions that will have an impact on their educational career and specialize before advancing to university. At this time, CATS Cambridge offers two globally recognized qualifications:

A levels are the traditional pathway for Britons to enter higher education and are a great way to get into prestigious UK universities. A levels are a well-respected credential that can give you the most options for UK institutions. Three courses, including English, are studied for the A levels over a two-year period, with exams taking place in the second year. Our A level program at CATS Cambridge is tailored for ambitious international students and includes additional English language assistance to boost their academic success. The subjects offered by CATS Cambridge are diverse. CATS Cambridge works with each student to choose the ideal combination to help them reach their academic objectives.

Over the course of the two-year A level certification, students study three courses (plus English for those who speak English as a second language), selecting one from each subject block.

The UFP serves as a transitional pathway from students' high school education in their home country to university in the UK because it is specifically created for high-achieving overseas students. Having created the certificate in 1985, CATS Global Schools are considered the original creators of the University Foundation program. 95 out of the top 100 universities in the UK recognise the UFP.

The UFP is aware of the unique academic difficulties that international students have, and it employs evaluation techniques that provide the best chances for students to demonstrate their academic standing and ability. Each student selects three academic courses that will be tested at the conclusion of the qualification. All pupils also take academic English classes to hone their language abilities for university. Exams and a sizable quantity of coursework that mimics the format of most UK university courses decide final UFP marks. Choosing a subject combination is crucial since institutions prefer applicants who excel in the right subjects. CATS Cambridge works closely with each student to determine the best options for advancing their academic and professional goals.

Students who enroll in UFP choose a maximum of three subjects, one from each block. English as a Second Language will also be studied by non-native speakers.

The UK High School Term program exposes pupils to the educational system and culture of the United Kingdom. Class enrollment is based on each student's age and English proficiency level and is meant to supplement their education back home.

For students seeking an overseas experience without interfering with their home academic studies, this program is appropriate. A notarized report that details the student's individual development and accomplishments can be generated, and classes are created to complement a student's ongoing studies.

For pupils 14 and older, High School Term is the best option. This curriculum will be fantastic if you want a glimpse into British education and will also support your home studies so you can continue where you left off. After completing this program, you will receive a thorough report that will assist you in returning to your home education system.
