In Milltown, Dublin, Ireland, there is a fee-paying residential and day school for females called Alexandra College. The ethos of the school is Church of Ireland-based. A female pastor addresses the students once a week, and Church of Ireland hymns are sung everyday during school assemblies, which conclude with the longer version of The Lord's Prayer.
The institution was established in 1866 and is named after Princess Alexandra of Denmark, who serves as its patron. In her honor, the school chose the red and white colors of the Danish flag. The national Junior Cycle curriculum, which covers a wide range of courses and promotes critical abilities in communication, welfare, creativity, literacy, and other areas, is followed by students in first through third year (ages 12 to 15).
