Each student at Brighton belongs to a House, and in these caring environments, you can develop your academic interests as well as fully engage in the co-curricular activities. Although Brighton College recognizes that you are older and more independent, there are still individuals available to support you as you make your way through classes, exams, and life after graduation.

Your enthusiasm in your subject areas will be sparked by the support of the excellent instructors and House tutors, fostering the spirit of autonomous inquiry that characterizes university learning. You have your own space in the designated Sixth Form center to work and unwind in order to represent this independence.

Students in the sixth form believe that their academic lives involve more than just focusing on their A-level scores. Through independent study, reading, and research—whether for a formal Extended Project Qualification or a more casual presentation to a society of interest—Brighton College promotes a deeper appreciation of learning.

From a total of 24 possibilities, each Lower Sixth student first selects four topics to study. Students may choose to drop one of these during their first year of study, while some choose to take four throughout their time in the sixth form. All of the A-level subjects are taught by subject-matter experts who are passionate about what they teach and who are there to support you as you decide on your university and post-secondary options.

The number of students in the Sixth Form has increased year over year as more students come to the College to ensure that their final two years of school produce the outcomes that will enable them to realize their university aspirations. Nearly 99% of students in 2022 received an A*, A, or B in their final exams.
