Programs
Every student at CATS London is given the tools they need to succeed academically. Our selection of internationally recognized qualifications was created to provide students with opportunities that meet their unique requirements and aspirations and help them achieve their academic objectives.
Pre-A level, which has a one-year minimum term and is designed as an introduction to the UK Further Education system, uses a similar methodology to GCSE. Although this program is also ideal for children desiring to progress to study UFP if they are of the appropriate age, pupils experience a wide range of courses that prepare them to progress to study A level.
Before continuing on to more advanced study, Pre-A level gives pupils the chance to enhance their English, and they should anticipate taking external tests in both English and Math. For Pre-A level, CATS London provides both September and January starting points.
A levels are the traditional pathway for Britons to enter higher education and are a great way to get into prestigious UK universities. A levels are a well-respected credential that can provide the most university options in the UK. Students can enroll in Year 12 at CATS London School in either September or January to pursue the A level qualification.
A level courses typically last two years and consist of three topics, including English, with exams taking place in the second year.
Our A level curriculum at CATS London School is tailored for academically driven international students, and we offer additional English language assistance to promote their academic success. The disciplines offered by CATS London are diverse. It works with each student to determine the ideal combination to help them reach their academic objectives.
The University Foundation Programme (UFP), which is specifically created for high-achieving international students, serves as a transitional program from students' high school education in their home country to university in the UK.
UFP is available at CATS London beginning in September and January.
The UFP is aware of the unique academic difficulties that international students have, and it employs evaluation techniques that provide the best chances for students to demonstrate their academic standing and ability. Each student selects three academic courses that will be tested at the conclusion of the qualification. All pupils also take academic English classes to hone their language abilities for university.
Exams and a sizable quantity of coursework that mimics the format of most UK university courses decide final UFP marks.
Choosing a subject combination is crucial since institutions prefer applicants who excel in the right subjects. Each student receives thorough assistance from CATS London in determining the ideal combination to support the achievement of their academic and professional goals.
Our Academic English Program aids students in honing their English abilities so they may succeed in the academic program of their choice, whether it is A level or University Foundation Programme. This course should be taken before to an academic course.
In order to strengthen their skills, students engage in a variety of intense English language study activities, such as Academic English, Essay construction, research, and note-taking, as well as a number of projects and assignments.
Students get knowledge of British education and culture during the UK High School Term. Depending on their level of English proficiency and home country's educational system, students are enrolled in classes. Our goal is to place students in an environment that is academically challenging enough for them to quickly catch up to their peers and be able to succeed.
For students seeking an overseas experience without interfering with their home academic studies, this program is appropriate. A notarized report that details the student's individual development and accomplishments can be generated, and classes are created to complement a student's ongoing studies.
The Scholarship of Excellence is given to exceptional students of any country who are accepted to and attend the Universities of Oxford or Cambridge after submitting a successful application.
The grant is open to students beginning or continuing their A level studies at CATS London. After showing proof of acceptance and attendance for the first semester at the University of Oxford or the University of Cambridge, scholarship winners will have their tuition and housing costs for the next two years of their program covered. Additionally, marketing activities, events, and the provision of a testimonial for use in advertising will be required of the students. Students can let the headmaster know if they qualify.
The top British universities of Oxford and Cambridge (collectively referred to as Oxbridge) are looking for academically accomplished candidates who stand out from the crowd and can convincingly demonstrate the passion for their subject. This is because they operate in a highly competitive environment. Academic counseling is a service provided by CATS London to assist you in being your best self when applying to Oxbridge.
