In Denstone, Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, England, there is a mixed, independent boarding and day school called Denstone College. Given that Nathaniel Woodard founded the school, it is a Woodard school, and as a result, Christian traditions are practiced as part of college life. It belongs to the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference.
Day students for both genders were accepted in 1976, and in 1981, two rooms for girls' boarding were opened. The houses at the school are Heywood, Philips, Shrewsbury, Meynell, Woodard, and Selwyn, all of which are named for the institution's founders and donors. There used to be two other homes, Lonsdale and Lowe, but they are no longer standing. These bear the names of school supporters as well.

Art, Biology, Chemistry, Design Technology, Drama, English, French, Geography, History, Computing, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, Physics, Religious Studies, and Spanish are subjects that all junior school students take. Additionally, students in the First Form take classes in library skills, while students in the Second Form and above take Spanish as a second language. All First and Second Form groups receive specialized PSHE instruction, and EAL (English as an Additional Language) is also offered. The fourth and fifth forms of Denstone College Middle School see increasing academic vigor during the GCSE years. In addition to the three core GCSEs (Maths, English, and Science) that are required, students must select three alternative topics at the conclusion of the third form, along with at least one modern foreign language (almost always). This could result in a total of 10 GCSEs. The majority of the time, key GCSE courses are taught in subject-specific sets of five to six sets. Denstone College views this as evidence that the institution is the ideal size—large enough to provide a wide range of alternatives and a suitable setting, yet small enough to provide excellent pastoral care and academic monitoring. In the Lower Sixth at Denstone College, every student takes three or four subjects; the majority choose to continue with three subjects in the Upper Sixth. Every term, there are tests in prose and poetry speaking that provide a thorough system of performance evaluation. The goal of LAMDA education is to raise communication standards and promote a love of books and theater. The goal of LAMDA exams is to help students develop their technical artistry, unleash their inventiveness, and acquire a variety of abilities that will help them throughout their lives. EYFS classes include speaking and listening exercises using picture books, while students in Years One and Up can prepare for graded public speaking exams.
Gymnastics, circuit training, dancing, and music and movement are all covered in PE classes starting in Pre-Prep.
