Dover, in southeast England, is home to Dover College, an independent day and boarding school that follows the English public school tradition. It was established in 1871 and accepts day students as well as boarders from the UK and abroad.

Dover College is delighted to offer a new and exciting co-curricular enrichment program including sports, education, adventure, the arts, and charity. Dover College offers a variety of activities that will entertain, excite, motivate, and grow every student, with over 50 events spread out over the course of the week and more over the weekends for boarding students. Dover College firmly believes that for students to develop holistically and be prepared for life after school, they must engage in a variety of experiences and activities outside of the "normal" curriculum that is taught between 8.30 am and 4.20 pm. Therefore, extracurricular activities are essential to a child's growth, and Dover College wants all of its students to have access to a variety of experiences that will enrich their education and Dover College experience. Every student is expected to take part in at least two extracurricular activities each week. A variety of activities, including at least one sport or form of exercise, are suggested by Dover College.
