Forres Sandle Manor School

Forres Sandle Manor School is a picturesque 35-acre campus on the outskirts of the river town of Fordingbridge, in the center of the New Forest. It is a coeducational independent day and boarding preparatory school for boys and girls ages 2–16. The school's location, which is situated in lovely grounds on the border of the New Forest, has been known since the Doomsday Book. Today, Forres Sandle Manor School offers a comprehensive, well-rounded education that equips students for the next level of learning as well as for adulthood.

Programs
The Nursery program at Forres School is distinctive. Forres  Manor School is located in the little school's Pre Prep building and offers plenty of room for the youngest students. The nursery students enjoy a designated outdoor space that is under cover and appropriate for all weather conditions, in addition to a large room setting with numerous themed "stations." They can also use the enclosed Lower School playground, which has a climbing frame in the shape of a pirate ship. However, the majority of our kids are thrilled when we mention that Forres Manor School will be visiting our Forest School. This wonderful space is located in a part of our woodland and has a variety of play equipment, including swings, a rope walk, a mud kitchen, log stools, and a wattle and daub hut. No matter the weather. Our kids will spend time outside as part of their regular day. They can play games, run around, and engage in a variety of sports in a beautiful and secure environment on our expansive playing fields.

Every day, fresh cuisine is prepared with a variety of menu options. They participate in "family service," which is eating lunch as a group while seated next to a staff member. The Forres Sandle Manor School can accommodate all special dietary needs. The manner it is taught in the early years has a significant impact on the long-term enjoyment of learning and the person Forres Sandle Manor School will eventually become. The most valuable resource of all is given to kids at Forres Sandle Manor School instead of hothousing: time. A youngster can only ask the questions that might not have occurred to anybody else, connect the dots to their prior experiences, and fully immerse themselves in a subject if they are given the opportunity to investigate new concepts. With the exception of PE, art, music, ICT, and languages, which are taught by professionals, the Pre Prep is primarily taught by class teachers. Although Forres Sandle Manor School periodically evaluates students, there are no official tests; rather, there is only normal reading, spelling, and times tables to master. The goal of the Lower School is to foster an environment that is bright and active and encourages a spirit of independence, a willingness to "have a go," and a desire to succeed.

Every term or half term, classrooms select a new topic as part of the innovative early years curriculum, and everything they learn during that time is tied as closely as possible to the theme. As a result, learning becomes much more meaningful for the kids, who become active rather than passive learners because they are participating in researching the subject and getting to choose what they will learn. Children are taken on a thrilling trip by the Prep School, from which they emerge as successful, self-assured teenagers eager to leave us and enroll in their senior high schools. Forres Manor School lays the groundwork for the ISEB Common Entrance (CE) curricula in years 5 and 6, which are subsequently taught in years 7 and 8, when students are getting ready to take exams in English, arithmetic, science, and French. Forres Sandle Manor School, like many other institutions, has chosen not to participate in the ISEB CE Humanities tests, allowing us to approach the teaching of history, geography, and religion studies in a far more adaptable and imaginative way. In geography, the students conduct a thorough field investigation in the neighborhood before analyzing, evaluating, and presenting their findings.

Children in the Prep School get scheduled classes in art, design technology, music, physical education, life skills, ICT, and games in addition to academic topics. Children are taught the fundamental skills for jobs that may not even exist yet as part of the curriculum at Forres Manor School, which makes sure to prepare students for both the worlds of now and tomorrow. For instance, students in ICT are learning how to program Lego robots in addition to developing websites. The scholarship program's main goal is to recognize, honor, and motivate students who show a high level of aptitude and dedication in their chosen field (s). To support the vast array of talents and qualities students offer to the community, Forres Sandle Manor School has created a wide range of scholarship opportunities. Not merely passing the important topic tests is necessary for academic learning. According to Forres Sandle Manor School, a kid must use (and be aware of) their other skills in order to achieve. Not only will these abilities prepare pupils for life after Forres Sandle Manor School, but many businesses value these skills equally as highly as academic credentials.

The Pre-Senior Baccalaureate (PSB) Skills program is one in which the school takes great pride in participating.

School Life

Every child's wellbeing is important to Forres Sandle Manor School, and it takes its duty to provide for them very seriously. The school puts out great effort to provide a supportive environment where every student feels safe and enthusiastically engaged. The ultimate goal is to provide a mental, emotional, and physical environment where every kid can flourish. The tight collaboration between tutors, subject teachers, boarding staff, and parents is indicative of this fostering approach. Class teachers and form tutors are frequently the first points of contact in the tutor system, which creates a crucial connection between the home and the school. The Pastoral Care Team is available to assist you should you require more aid.

As adults, the majority of us have settled on a way of life that plays to our advantages and skillfully avoids our disadvantages. Children who experience particular learning issues must deal with this every day. The approach is one that the entire school at Forres Sandle Manor School supports. Since everyone at Forres Sandle Manor School learns best when using all of their senses, every subject is taught in a hands-on, interactive, and multisensory way.

Good instruction for dyslexic students is good instruction for all students. All kids should feel challenged and accomplished, according to Forres Sandle Manor School. They are urged to give themselves achievable goals and objectives. Children who have been diagnosed with learning disorders like dyslexia and dyspraxia are imaginative thinkers, great athletes, talented musicians, competent artists, and deft problem solvers.

The school does not view their differences as obstacles to learning; rather, they are just transient roadblocks. Nevertheless, everyone at the school is here to support them as they navigate these roadblocks. Some kids could have trouble with fundamental reading and math abilities. The children at Forres Sandle Manor School receive specialized, one-on-one care to aid in their development and support in the classroom so they may engage in a complete and varied curriculum. The amount of classes each week depends on the level of support needed, and the support is heavily oriented toward the child's needs.

To guarantee that each child's requirements are satisfied both on an individual basis and in the context of the entire school, Learning Center staff members collaborate closely with teachers of the child's classes. Despite any difficulties they may have with their learning, the kids have great expectations. Forres Sandle Manor School closely collaborates with parents and the Director of Studies to help them choose the Senior School that would best fit their child's learning profile. They leave Forres Sandle Manor School with self-assurance and a desire to learn, so they are prepared for senior school. They are aware of how they learn best and have a solid understanding of their personal learning preferences.

Future Prospects

When students are in Year 7, they begin a two-year PSB program that more formally evaluates these abilities in order to give their senior schools a student profile. The profile includes the history of their academic performance as well as the growth of their learning skills and attitudes over the previous two years. Canford, Charterhouse, Harrow School, Sherborne Girls School, Marlborough, and many other senior institutions support the PSB.
