International School of Creative Arts

International School of Creative Arts (ISCA), which was founded in 2009 in collaboration with University of the Arts London (UAL), is now a wholly independent center for pre-university studies in art and design. The International School of Creative Arts in Buckinghamshire, England, is only 30 minutes from the heart of London and offers first-rate amenities on 20 acres of picturesque English countryside. The school is a lively place to learn and live, and its on-campus art facilities include studios for fine art, textiles, and photography, as well as a huge dark room, a 3-D/Ceramics studio with a kiln, and a graphic design room outfitted with Apple Mac computers.

Programs

Students decide in Year 1 the three subjects they will continue in through Year 2. The International School of Creative Arts' autumn term's first two weeks are intended to let students become familiar with their topic options before making a choice.

By the conclusion of Year 2, the topics will culminate in A Levels. Fine art, graphic design, fashion and textiles, and 3D design are the available alternatives. At the end of Year 2, an A Level qualification is earned by selecting a third subject. The choices are Mathematics and History of Art: Critical & Contextual Studies.Students at the International School of Creative Arts who have very poor English skills will not be required to select a third subject. Instead, they will adhere to an EFL curriculum to ensure that they reach the English proficiency level needed for university progression.Every Year 1 student completes a Personal and Professional Planning (PPP) curriculum that aims to help them form the study habits and abilities necessary for success in undergraduate art and design coursework.Students continue to study the three topics they selected in Year 1 in Year 2 in order to be prepared to take the A Level exams in May.It is anticipated that International School of Creative Arts students would be able to demonstrate the level of English needed for university admission by the beginning of Year 2.Year 2 pupils need to put in a lot of effort to get into university in addition to studying for their A Levels. In order to prepare for an interview with the university of their choosing, this entails creating a sufficient portfolio of work and a personal statement.

Every Year 2 students participate in Central Saint Martins' Creative Practice Programme (CPP) one day per week. This curriculum is in addition to studying for A Levels.Students who enroll in the International School of Creative Arts in Year 2 are eligible for the Portfolio Program. They already possess the academic credentials needed for university, but they lack the body of work in the arts needed to enroll in undergraduate creative arts programs. The International School of Creative Arts student will have developed a portfolio of work by the end of the year that is appropriate in both content and presentation to enable them to enroll in a university-level study in an art and design field. To establish a solid and comprehensive foundation of art and design skills, they will also finish an A level in Art, Craft, and Design. In order to give students the chance to deepen their understanding of art and design through two courses (i.e., two disciplines) concurrently, the Art, Craft, and Design (ACD) A Level lays a foundation of technical and critical abilities. This is a required course for second-year portfolio students at the International School of Creative Arts and serves as the foundation for fundamental art and design abilities that may be used to a variety of subject-specific specialties. Students can explore a variety of art and design-related interests with the ACD A Level. The course gives students a foundation in essential art and design methods, processes, and philosophies while allowing students who are getting ready to take joint honors, foundation, or more general degree courses to construct a larger portfolio.

15-year-old kids have a fantastic opportunity through CAP to take part in top-notch UK art and design instruction. Through interaction with the work of artists and designers, as well as their materials, methods, and approaches, students are able to develop their understanding of art and design. Students learn fundamental skills in a variety of specialized art and design fields and complete assignments that can result in a qualification for the Level 2 Cambridge Technicals.

In a motivating educational setting, CAP encourages a creative approach to critical thinking and problem solving. The painting and design process in this improved International School of Creative Arts program also contains elements of mathematics and scientific reasoning. Through individualized English instruction, linguistic abilities are also developed.

The program's goal is to get pupils ready to move on to the A Level program. It is intended especially for 15-year-old students who have a passion for the arts and are thinking about continuing their education in fields like fine art, fashion textiles, graphic design, 3D design, or critical and contextual studies. It could be considered a first step to a longer program at the International School of Creative Arts.

International students have the unique chance to enjoy a world-class art and design education as a pre-degree program online through the International School of Creative Arts' Foundation Certificate in Art, Design, and Media. As a result, this Foundation programme represents the depth of experience at International School of Creative Arts in preparing imaginative young people for admission to art and design universities in the UK and abroad. The program is provided both full-time (for one year) and part-time (across two years).
