Maynooth University

At Maynooth, County Kildare, Ireland, the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, also known as Maynooth University (MU), is a member institution of the National University of Ireland. It was constituted by the Universities Act, 1997, from the secular faculties of the now-separate St Patrick's College, Maynooth, which was founded in 1795, and was the country's youngest university until the launch of Technological University Dublin in 2019. All other universities in Ireland are located in cities, making Maynooth the sole university town in the country.

The institution is made up of two interconnected campuses: the modern northern campus, which spans around 100 acres, and the ancient southern campus, which shares 19th-century buildings with St. Patrick's College.
